Night
By Alexandra Gough
The night was dark and stormy,

I heard a scary sound.
I looked out my bedroom window,
And saw a bucket on the ground.
The bucket was rolling down the path,
It was louder than a mouse.
I got really scared now,
Coz that bucket was from inside the house.
I scurried back in bed,
as fast as my legs could go.
I pulled my doona over my head,
And hid down very low.
There were noises in the lounge now,

It was coming up the stair.
Have they come to take me,
Would anyone miss me, would anyone care.
My bedroom door slowly opened,
I could hear it creak.
What is it doing in my room,
I was too scared to peak.
My doona slowly began to move back,
What should I do, what should I say.
I covered my eyes with my hands,
And yelled “GO AWAY”
I heard a man laugh,
![]()
that made me mad.
I uncovered my eyes,
To find mum and dad.
